Gisteren zag ik op aanraden van mijn 19 jarige zoon “End of Watch”.
Hij wilde perse het begin nog even meekijken voordat hij weg moest om te gaan werken. Nu begrijp ik hem. Ik heb het begin vanochtend misschien wel 30 keer gezien en besloot na elke zin de film stil te zetten om de tekst uit te typen. Dat ging best prima:
Tot ik bij het woord “cojole” kwam. Cojole???” Ik ging naar Google translate die vond geen vertaling. Dus plakte ik de hele zin

Dus kon ik makkelijk de tekst kopiëren en plakken:

Ik had ook gewoon op “cojole” kunnen gaan staan in Word. Dan had ie het ook gevonden omdat mijn Word in het Engels staat:
En ik kan het eens zijn met Word of niet maar disaggree is echt met een g.
De Nederlandse vertaling van het intro van End of Watch dacht ik je zo te brengen:

Het doet me meer denken aan The Beasty Boys. Via Clipgrap ripte ik alleen de audio van het intro:
Ik speelde het nummer af op mijn laptop en gebruikte Shazam. Shazam vond dit:
Dat was niet het nummer. En dat kwam omdat de voice over door het nummer praat. Dus probeerde ik het met de eerste 4 seconden van het nummer waar nog niet gepraat wordt.

Ik kocht het nummer als cadeautje voor mijn zoon. En wie zie ik daar? Larry Mullin! Die kent NoaH dan weer niet.

Oh ja, hij vroeg me gisteren ook nog een cijfer te geven aan de film. Direct nadat ik hem had gezien.
Ik appte: “Een 8,3” en vroeg hem “hoger of lager”.
Hij appte “hoger”.
Waarschijnlijk uit schuldgevoel voor alle politie agenten die hij in Grand Theft Auto had omgelegd.
Ik realiseer me nu dat ik langer met de eerste 3 minuten bezig ben geweest dan de hele film duurt.
